Seven Important Reasons to Teach Your Children to Swim

My personal experience.

I remember my first experience at the beach when I was a little kid, I was petrified! I never had the advantage of growing up in a family to love the water. The closest they came to taking a bath in the tub and in my early years surrounded by water were pretty discouraging. Fortunately for me, a close friend of the family of the kids my age at the local pool, where we learned to swim would lead. Once I lost the fear and intimidation of the water, I soon discovered that there is no other place I’d rather spend my free time at the pool or beach. Today I look back and I am eternally grateful for our family friend to me, to introduce the joys of swimming, but also taught me to swim.

Reasons for teaching your children how to swim.
There are several reasons why we teach our children to swim as it is to learn an important skill for all children and a variety of benefits should be.

Security. The number one reason to teach all children to swim for their own safety. An unfortunate statistic shows the drowning to be the second leading cause of injuries in children from the age of 1-4. There are many situations in which we imagine as a parent you feel much more in the knowledge that your child can swim. As parents, we know that it’s impossible to watch over our children all the time and if you have your own pool or live near the water, you will soon discover, the children have a talent to be in the heart of the matter.
